Southern Living Magazine App Reviews

The app reproduced the magazine beautifully (within the limits of the iPad), but at renewal time this year, the app has no longer downloaded new issues. All new issues are marked for purchase, instead of being properly included in my subscription. Same issue as so many others are reporting.

Love the app and it runs on both iPhone and iPad.

I love reading digitally but I have a subscription and it keeps trying to make me buy the issues. This is VERY annoying and not good business practice.

I contacted Southern Living Customer Service and was told the print subscription NO LONGER includes the digital version. You have to pay more when you renew your subscription if you want to continue the digital. Or you can buy the digital version separately, I guess. Not a happy customer and I have subscribed for decades!

I have wasted so much time trying to access digital editions, following every lousy direction until Im ready to scream. Im dizzy from the circles you have me running. Now Im reading other reviews that say digital access is not included with print subscription. CRAZY SUGGESTION: Stop driving your subscribers crazy and offer the option to add digital access. You just might improve your profits and save your subscribers sanity and valuable time!

I have a hard copy subscription and have had digital access up until earlier this year. Now when the newest magazine is available it says I need to subscribe but it recognizes that I have a subscription so it also gives me the option to not only purchase the current issues but also previous issues I have not been able to download. I have also tried to get help directly with Southern Living but to no avail. They either need to fix this problem for subscription holders or ditch the digital version all together. I really dont understand how this problem has not been solved. Based on other reviews this is an ongoing problem that they have to be aware of. Extremely disappointing.

I had the same problems as you all had. Try calling iPad support or Southern Living support. At the very least, reboot ! I love the magazine AND the app!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news,folks, but this app is the absolute worst... I was pained to give it even one star. Anytime I try to access it, I have to redo my password AND go through a subscription confirmation process, then it continues to not work. Its extremely frustrating I would suggest not even attempting to use it. Step up, Southern Living. Get it right or dont do it at all.

App cover doesnt refresh, show old special edition. Or will refresh then change back. Sign-in issues too. Disappointing from such a fine publication that I have subscribed to for decades.

It is now impossible to read the magazine in this app. Print too tiny. Fix please.

This app is so bad - first time writing a review simply because Ive never had such a bad experience with any other app. I used to love this magazine. Now I hate it because the digital downloads are so difficult to access and work smoothly. I wanted a nice magazine to relax with, not be frustrated with. Have to reset passwords constantly, hard to use across devices, poor navigation in app, just swipe swipe swipe. No more digital subscriptions for me.

But the magazine app still shows some Christmas special issue. This cant be hard to fix. Im going to delete the app if this continues

Love the app.. Much easier to have on my iPad than drag the magazine around.

This magazine automatically renews. It didnt ask me to subscribe again it just runs your credit card. Typical Apple product, "Were the best, worship us."

This is the worst app ever, will never use again, will not re subscribe

Ive been trying to download this all evening. It says its loading and has been for hours. Its in the Newstand so cant delete the app. I had a subscription to SL a few years ago and had problems at that time each month but nothing like this bad. Needs a lot of work!

So far this is terrible. I downloaded app and purchased an issue and it freezes when it starts to download. Still frozen and Im not sure what to do.

I subscribed. Paid 10 dollars and now it wont even open. On iPad or iPhone. The app freezes every time I try to set up a login.

I cant get app to download digital issues. I have a magazine sub. I have done everything and NO Luck.
